What is faery 'glamour' ?

Faery, glamour is a spell that faeries cast on humans. It enthralls humans making us think we see a beautiful man/women and make us follow them where ever they may lead us. Some faeries use it to take humans to Tira na nog( The Land of Faeries). Read more about this on the web pages of sacrettexts.com in the story... Sneak Peek of Novel - AWAKE- The chronicles of Chemmis

Hi, this is a sneak peek of my young adult novel, Awake. Set in present day, her world starts to fall apart and she in thrown into a perilous quest to save her island and ultimately Earth. Hope you enjoy this. Awake: Chemmis 9995 ; Earth 2010 Prologue The problem with finding out who, you really are, is that you might not like what you find. That has always been my fear. I knew from the moment I could understand anything that things came to me. Bad things. Sometimes they came in the form of whispers, soft dark trickles in my ear. Sometimes they came in the form of shadows, a swish of darkness that I may have imagined pass by me, but I never imagined the feelings they gave me. Sometimes they came in the form of acts. Bad things I did, but could never understand why. Only thing I knew for certain was that if

Y.B Yeats and Lady Gregory

A few weeks ago, I went to the Mitchell Library of Sydney to read the first edition of Yeat's book Fairy folk tails of the Irish peasantry, published 1888. It literary sent chills down my spine, my sister couldn't sleep that night. It's a collection of stories from the people living in small villages in Ireland and their encounters with the fair folk. And believe you me its convincing at times, there's a priest and several other valued community members that talk of there experiences. A copy of the book can be found at the Scared Texts website have a read, it makes you re-think what we think we know. Nivi http://www.sacred-texts.com/

Do faeries walk among us?

' The land of   faery, where nobody gets old and godly and grave, where nobody gets old and crafy and wise, where nobody gets old and bitter of tongue.' W.B. Yeats I don't know if faeries exist, but I am doing a lot of research on the folklore of faeries for my novel Awake and some people truly do believe. I think it would be nice to think there was a place such as this, were beings were free and happy all the time. A place were nature lies undisturbed from the stress and efficiency of our human lives. The writings of W.B. Yeats , Lady Gregory and so may others speak of Tira na nog and as a result I to want to believe in the Land of the Fey.
