Faery of the week : Gangcanagh

Image
Gangcanagh , means the'lover talker' . This is a male Irish faerie that is known for seducing women. They are thought to have a toxin in their skin that makes the humans they seduce  literally, addicted to them. The women seduced by this faery usually die from withdrawal, pinning away from their love of this amorous creature. Girls beware of the gangcanagh in your life. Nivi

Real faery encounter

I found this story on the website realitywalker.com. It has a collection of encounters with other world beings. Reading it my dispel your scepticism about the fey. Is it a Fairy or is it a Faerie? My first encounter with a fairy was just off the local popular bridal way near where I used to live in County Durham between Rolands Gill and Medomsley. I had a period when I would jog about a mile or so up the track in an attempt to get fit. Often however, I never made the mile as I would either be dragged into the wood by some fun nature spirits wanting to play or by Herne to be led to some interesting energy areas. On one such occasion I was led through the undergrowth until I emerged by a stream. There was a small overhanging tree on the other side which seemed to have some sort of being sitting in its central branches about two meters from the ground.( Image is copyright © Stephanie Pui Mun Law) How big are fairies and do they carry wands? As I got closer it resolved into a white creat

Faery of the week - Succubus

Image
Hi to all my followers, and thank you for your support. I decided it would be a good idea to post a faery of the week, to dispel all former, ideas that faeries are only small winged creatures. This week's faery is the all alluring succubus. According to medieval legend they are female dark faeries that appear in dreams, as a beautiful woman. They seduce men and by doing so steal life force until the man slowly weakens and eventually dies. A warning to all men, be wary of the enchantress in your dreams. Nivi

Faery Mounds in Ireland

Image
Faeries known as the sidhe are the little people or natural spirits. They are said to have lived in a paralell dimension to us. They are the faeries that are said to have lived in mounds, raths and stone circles in sacred places in Ireland. The word sidhe in itself means mound and the faeries are the Daoine Sidhe , the people of the mound. These faeries are divided into two groups solitary faeries and the trooping faeries who live in the mounds and come out in groups during 1st of May( Beltaine Eve ) and Halloween( Samhaim Eve ).
