Changelings

A changeling, is a replacement of a human child stolen by the faeries. They are faery children, and according to a story by W.B Yeats are able to talk. If they reveal their true selves they will be forced to return to Tira na nog. The mother in the story boiled egg shells, prompting the changeling to ask what she was cooking. The mother then attempted to ram a hot poker down its throat but lucky for the changeling, the real child was returned.
