True story: Faery Ring

I heard a story about a young girl in South Africa that had seen a faery circle. She went to the beach for the summer and must have been spotted by a Faery queen and her troop as soon thereafter she started getting severe headaches. Her grandmother a shaman consulted the ancestors who said she had been marked by a Faery Queen and would be taken away to her realm unless a ritual was performed. In other words this would mean a human death onto a faery birth. The grandmother beside herself with fear quickly performed the ritual, with little explanation to the girl about her predicament. The young woman merely thought she was targeted by a pagan goddess as her grandmother could not remember the English name for faeries. Nevertheless afraid for her life she prayed hard through out the ritual. At the end she of the ritual she caught a glimpse of a beautiful land with a flowing river in which a ring of flowers sunk to the bottom.
Was it Tiara na nog she had just seen? Without the ritual would she have been transported away? Even in the 22nd century this and other true stories remind us that the faeryland remains out there for those who are willing to look.
